The workshop is intended for:
"Early adopters": Scientists who want to make use of the resources. It is old hardware and comes with restrictions, but (hey!) it is extra computing power at your disposal.
"Benchmark providers": Scientists that can provide typical use cases that could steer the acquisition process.
You should have some experience in programming and have a typical use case which is important for your work.Together with you, we will see whether
we can get your code to run on the cluster
your use case can be transformed into a benchmark that can be given to vendors
The Workshop will be on December 16th from 10:00 AM to 16:00 PM.It will be held at the Rechenzentrum, Hermann-Herder-Strasse 10.
If you would like to attend, please write an E-Mail to bernd.wiebelt@rz.uni-freiburg.de.
We recommend that you apply for access to the cluster in advance:
If you were using the bwGRiD before, your login is also valid for NEMO
If you need to apply for access, please go to http://www.hpc.uni-freiburg.de/nemo/access
