The state of Baden-Württemberg provides several high performance computing resources as part of the bwHPC-C5 project for researchers in the state. This course provides you an overview of this services and teach you how to use them for your research efficiently. 
 
The universities of Stuttgart and Tübingen invite you to this course which focuses on the topics “Introduction into Linux” and “Basic introduction into HPC” 
 
The first part is about the basics of how to use a Linux system and provides the fundamentals for the second part.
 
In the second part you’ll learn how to access and use the bwHPC systems. This includes the efficient usage of the computing nodes, the storage system and utilizing the high performance interconnect network. Further more the course will issue additional and important factors, such as the batch system of the cluster and the optimal data organization. The planned “hands on session” universal cluster (bwUniCluster) on the will deepen what you learned.

Part 2: 13:00pm - 16:30pm - Basics bwHPC-Cluster
